"The location was incredible and the staff were friendly and incredibly accomodating. A chair in my room needed to be replaced and the TV was not fully installed yet, but neither of those things detracted from the experience in any meaningful way. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Placencia."
"Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. "My family and I enjoyed our short stay in the Namaste apartment at the Belizean Nirvana in Placencia. The apartment was larger than expected with a beautiful veranda overlooking the ocean. When I was researching accommodations, the Belizean Nirvana was one of the few that offered breakfast, which was a plus given that my husband and I traveled with our teen and tween. The hotel was central to all of the restaurants and shops on the island. Barbara and Evan were wonderful and available if we needed them."
"I had a delightful experience at Ocean Breeze! We were greeted with a lovely sign out front and the AC was running in our room. The front desk associate was gracious in accommodating our request for an early check in when our travel plans unexpectedly changed. The room was meticulously, cleaned and appointed well with coffee cups and plates. Our room looked out toward the ocean and the pool was directly below. We also had great drinks and good service at the bar. I would certainly return and highly recommend this resort."

"We loved our stay in the Turtle room! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and needed a place for only one night... But we wished we had more time at this spot! The owners are very kind and responsive. The room was very comfy and cozy. I appreciated all the shelving in the rooms and bathroom. AC worked great. And the screened in porch was really wonderful to hang out on. It's also in a great location for wandering around the village. "
"What an amazing property. This little island (about 1 acre in size) is absolutely beautiful. The boat ride from Placencia was definitely farther than a 10 minutes....more like a 40-45 minute trip as the island is approx 20 miles in the middle of the ocean.
The staff is one of a kind.....
Tito and Albert were our bartenders. Tito was there our entire trip (6 days); Albert arrived the day before we left. Anything we wanted these guys were on it. Food, drinks, someone to talk to, etc.
We had 2 amazingly chefs, Sam and Hilly, cooked some of the best food we've had on an all inclusive vacation in a LONG time. Truly amazing food.
The manager and the rest of the crew stayed busy ensuring the island stayed clean and well maintained each amd every day.
A great place for some serious R & R. Highly recommend King Lewey Island to anyone who is up for the adventure.
